What to Wear to a Live, Indoor Show

This week I saw Gotye and Kimbra at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Ore. I love going to live shows. Yet, when packed into a giant room full of dancing youth (and a springboard floor), you have to dress casually, in layers and with the ability to dance. Here are a few fashion ideas for your next live show.

Mixing prints is big this season. So, here I’ve paired a floral tank layered under a sheer top with leopard flats, which are easy to stand and dance in. A leather bomber will keep you warm walking to and from the show (in strange PNW Spring weather), while keeping it to just one item you’ll have to lug around when temperatures rise in the dancing audience. A crossbody bag will save you from having too many things to hold onto. A pop of red is in this season. In all, this outfit has a little edge, which is great for live music.
